This trip was done within the 48 hour rule. My employers reimburse my flights as long as I do not have a layover longer than 48 hours. I arrived at my Tel Aviv beachside hotel at around 3 in the morning. My guided tour started at 6:45 a.m. so not very much sleep. I opted for the Jerusalem and Bethlehem tour. There were other alternatives such as old and new Jerusalem, or Nazareth, the Dead Sea and other places.

The female soldier on patrol was just 20 year old.
The musican was singing Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah. Jeff Buckley's version is perhaps better known.
