Above: Seonunjeong Temple

s I planned to do this with Cliff, a physics colleague. We tried to publicise it to see if others wanted to join us, but one of the Assistant Vice Principals objected as he felt it would take people away from the school's Arts Festival. If anybody had joined us, I am sure that they would not have been attending the Arts Festival anyway!

Then Cliff pulled out, so I set off by myself. This was a good thing in that I could stop to take photographs.
Gonae Peak is really optional. My GPX file takes me up it but the marked trail bypasses the summit and skirts around the side
The route descends past Bogwansa Temple.
Reaching this village pond, I saw a large turtle leap into the water - it saw me before I saw it , so sadly, no photographs. I sat on some steps down into the pond and waited for dragonflies to land close to me.

My intension had always been to have lunch at the Seonunjeong Temple. I had not realised how far along the trail it was when walking the route in reverse. I was parched, so I stopped for a pomegranate ade.

I was carrying a small tripod and spent a lot of time taking photographs at Seonunjeong Temple, but still stayed for a light lunch. A lady said, "eat!", and crossing her arms said, "for free!". I took a modest amount of food and made a donation of 10,000 Won.
The best part of the route was behind me and I took few photographs after the temple. I paced it out a bit to Hallim.
