This was one of a number of "fells before breakfast" during a family holiday in the Lake District. 

The way up was clear with the route being varied, passing through trees, bracken and grassland. I believe the early part of the route is a place to see red squirrels, but I did not see any. A group of four people caught me up and were then kind enough to take my photograph at the summit.

It was not until I returned back to our holiday accommodation that I realised that I had my running tights on the wrong way round! Other than the seams being more prominent and the label hanging down from the back of the waist, I think they look rather good like this! They look less worn and faded!

I did a traverse of the hill, descending down a steep grassy path down the other side. At one point, I wanted to take a photograph, so I dropped my GPS to the ground, expecting it to just drop and stay in the grass. Instead, it spun and bounced down the hill. It did come to a halt, but having taken my eye of the spot to put my camera away, I underestimated how far it had fallen - I deposited my backpack and started searching upwards. It was in fact just below where I had rested it. It took me 20-25 minutes, to the point where I was about to give up, before I found it deep down in long grass.

The path connects with a track/path that contours around the fell back to the start.
